The Foundation’s Management Board

Beata Serafin

Chairman of the Board of the Foundation

At the Foundation, she is responsible for administrative and organisational matters and for carrying out management tasks. She ensures the transparency of processes, compliance with regulations and the smooth running of the organisation.

A lawyer by training, she is a graduate of the University of Rzeszów. Professionally, she works in public administration and public procurement law; her involvement with the non-governmental sector has so far been as a volunteer or as a staff member on social projects. At the Foundation, she aims to develop her experience in managing a civil society organisation, combining her legal expertise with her social commitment.

Szymon Januszczak

Chairman of the Foundation’s Board

He supports the foundation with his knowledge and experience, ensuring the organisation’s responsible development.

He graduated in law from the University of Rzeszów and completed a postgraduate course in restructuring and insolvency law. His day-to-day practice specialises in the field of restructuring and insolvency.

Member of the Foundation’s Board

He supports the Foundation’s activities in the areas of logistics and media.

He graduated in law from the University of Rzeszów. He works in finance on a day-to-day basis.
Oskar Jurek

Oskar Jurek

Coordinator

She coordinates the Foundation’s day-to-day activities, prepares project proposals and oversees the organisation’s documentation. She supports the implementation and financial closure of projects, collaboration with partners and the development of new initiatives.

He holds a law degree, an MBA from the University of Rzeszów, and a postgraduate qualification in the Administration of EU Funds from the Warsaw School of Economics. Member of the Council for Dialogue with the Younger Generation, 2nd Term (2021–2023); member of selection panels for NGOs in the local government of the Małopolska and Podkarpackie Voivodeships; project coordinator, mentor and trainer.
Ewa Prokop-Rodzoń

Ewa Prokop-Rodzoń

Graphic designer

He is responsible for the Foundation’s visual identity, graphic materials and the aesthetic appeal of its communications.

A law graduate from the University of Rzeszów, working in the creative sector. She specialises in graphic design, managing social media communications and producing visual and digital materials. She brings experience in communication, content creation and the use of social media in social and educational initiatives.

Kamil Korab-Bialic, lawyer

Expert

Kamila supports the Social Impulse Foundation in the areas of media, copyright and intellectual property.

She previously worked in the media – as a reporter and presenter at TVP3 Rzeszów, specialising in social issues. She combines legal and media experience, focusing in her practice on media law, copyright law, industrial property law and providing legal services to non-governmental organisations. She also delivers training courses on various areas of law.

Dr Dominik Boratyn

Expert

Dominik supports the Social Impulse Foundation in the areas of local community safety and civic participation.

PhD in Social Sciences, lecturer at the University of Rzeszów. He specialises in issues relating to the safety of local communities and civic participation. A former soldier in the Polish Army and adviser to the Podkarpackie Province Governor.
Wiktoria Sudoł-Kaszuba
Media

Wiktoria Sudoł-Kaszuba

Expert

Wiktoria supports the Social Impulse Foundation in areas relating to media activities, public speaking and soft skills.

A journalist by training, she has experience in radio, print and television journalism. She began her professional career at Polish Radio Rzeszów, the *Kurier Rzeszowski* and Radio Via. She currently teaches at the College of Media and Social Communication and is the creator of the podcast *Podróże małe i duże* (*Small and Big Journeys*), available on Spotify.

Retired General Andrzej Leńczuk

Expert

He supports the Foundation by providing expert knowledge in the fields of security, the prison system, defence and rehabilitation programmes

A general and former Deputy Director-General of the Prison Service, responsible for the security of prison facilities and for measures to enhance the force’s defence capabilities. A graduate of postgraduate programmes and specialist courses in the fields of security, command, rehabilitation and radicalisation.

Dr Krystyna Gielarek-Gorczyca

Expert

She supports the Foundation in the areas of communication, promotion, storytelling and the creation of social and educational content.

Doctor, literary scholar, media studies expert and content marketing specialist. Assistant Professor at the University of Rzeszów and Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Institute of Polish Studies and Journalism, University of Rzeszów. In her work, she combines humanistic reflection with the practice of modern communication, promotion and storytelling.

Dr Karol Piękoś

Expert

It supports the Foundation by providing expert knowledge in the fields of public policy, local government and the functioning of the state in crisis situations.

Political scientist, Doctor of Political Science and Public Administration, graduate of the University of Rzeszów. Member of academic societies and secretary of the Podkarpackie Committee of the Security and Defence Knowledge Olympiad. Author of publications on, amongst other things, local government, the functioning of the state in crisis situations and international relations.

History

Tomasz Sumara

Expert

Tomasz supports the Social Impulse Foundation in the areas of history and civic guidance in Poland.

A history teacher and member of staff at the University of Rzeszów. His research interests centre on parliamentarism, political life and socio-economic issues in the Second Polish Republic. He is also interested in civic guidance and civil society in Poland.

Security and diplomacy

Piotr Kułakowski

Expert

He supports the Foundation with his expertise in the fields of security, public policy and the socio-political challenges facing Central and Eastern Europe

A former diplomat and expert with many years’ experience in the field of international security. He specialises in security issues relating to Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. He served on a diplomatic mission at the Polish Embassy in Ukraine, and currently combines his academic and teaching work with participation in national and international expert conferences.

Safety and cybersecurity

Witold Pizło

Expert

The Foundation’s expert on security, cyber security and counter-terrorism. He supports educational and specialist activities with his many years of experience gained whilst serving in the secret services.

A retired officer of one of the special services, with many years’ experience in the field of security. He delivers expert training sessions and provides consultancy services to the business sector and public administration on corporate security, information security, cyber security and counter-terrorism. He has been involved in academic work and has participated in lectures and conferences organised by, amongst others, the Rzeszów University of Technology, the WSPiA Rzeszów University of Applied Sciences, and the state academies of applied sciences in Chełm and Jarosław. He has worked as an expert with the Cybersecurity Foundation and the Civic Mission Foundation.
Jarosław Reczek
Business and tourism

Jarosław Reczek

Expert

The Foundation’s expert in tourism marketing, communications and cooperation with public authorities. He brings over 20 years’ experience in local government, the media and business.

A local government official and expert in tourism marketing, he has been involved in public administration for over 20 years. He also gained professional experience in several corporations. He began his career as a journalist at Polish Radio Rzeszów, and subsequently became the first director of the Rzeszów branch of RMF FM. He has also worked with TVP and several newspapers. Between 2002 and 2003, he co-ordinated an information campaign in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship ahead of the referendum on Poland’s membership of the European Union.

Psychology and safety

Jan Gołąbek

Expert

She supports the Foundation by providing expert knowledge in the areas of children’s and young people’s mental health, addiction prevention, mental resilience and stress management. She is involved in developing educational, preventative and developmental initiatives.

Psychologist, educationalist and addiction therapist. Chairman of the Board of “Psycholog Kolbuszowa Sp. z o.o.” and a reserve officer in the Polish Armed Forces. He has 16 years’ experience in command and operational roles in the Polish Army, including with the 16th Airborne Battalion. He specialises in child and adolescent psychology, addiction therapy, building psychological resilience and stress management. He is interested in personal development, martial arts and rescue operations.
